Niki Escobar, Office Manager

Ms. Escobar has been with Center for Law and Social Work since July 2012. As the Office Manager, she oversees all administrative functions within the agency. Her role spans all departments as she provides clerical support to the Executive, Legal, Social Work, and Development staff. In 2017, Ms Escobar was instrumental in overseeing the transition of two outside services into new programs at Center for Law and Social Work. These were Porchlight Counseling Services, a nonprofit organization formerly located in Evanston, IL, and the Adoption Listing Service, a statewide adoption program funded by the Department of Children and Family Services. Ms. Escobar has worked tirelessly to ensure that the services provided by Porchlight Counseling Services and the Adoption Listing Service have gone uninterrupted in their transition to Center for Law and Social Work. With the addition of these new programs, Ms. Escobar has taken on the role of Intake Coordinator for Porchlight Counseling Services, acting as the first point of contact for survivors of sexual assault on college campuses who are seeking therapeutic services. Ms. Escobar prepares and maintains Human Resource records, manages website development and computer databases, provides technical support and general maintenance of office equipment, and performs reception and initial client support duties. Ms. Escobar manages the Mediation program by overseeing the scheduling of mediation for individuals who have filed a service appeal with the DCFS Administrative Hearings Unit.

Ms. Escobar completed her B.A. at Columbia College Chicago. She is currently attending National Louis University for her Masters in Education. Prior to joining CLSW, she worked as a freelance tutor and a Writing Consultant at Columbia College Chicago.
