Nicole Weinstein is a recent Master of Social Work graduate from Loyola University Chicago with a concentration in Mental Health and Interprofessional Practice with At-Risk Youth. She is originally from Florida, and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, double-majoring in International Affairs and Psychology. It was during her undergraduate years that she developed an interest in helping others. In 2012 Nicole moved to Chicago on a whim and without a job, but knew that she wanted to go back to school to begin her career. While attending graduate school at Loyola University Chicago, Nicole was introduced to the Center for Law and Social Work through professor and CLSW Board Member, Paula Basta. She joined the Emerging Leaders Board in January, 2015, and serves as co-chair. She enjoys learning about the interworking of a non-profit, as well as to helping to create and support opportunities to promote the CLSW mission. Nicole’s professional areas of interest include group dynamics, family systems, interprofessional practice, trauma-informed practice, and community organizing.
